About us
The main service of Trabzon Technology Development Zone is that individuals, institutions and organizations that carry out or will carry out R&D projects apply to carry out their projects within the scope of our region, and after their projects are evaluated by our arbitration committee and found to be in compliance with the scope of the technology development zones law, they create offices under appropriate conditions by allocation method. The area will be allocated to entrepreneurs who will build their own R&D centers. Apart from this, we provide qualified technopark services to entrepreneurial companies within our means.
Trabzon, which is the largest province of the Eastern Black Sea Region with its history, economic structure and geographical location; It is also the leading province of Artvin, Bayburt, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Ordu and Rize, which are included in the Eastern Black Sea Regional Development Plan (DOKAP). At the same time, it was declared one of the 15 attraction centers included in the EU grant support distribution plans. With these features, Trabzon is the center of attraction for potential investments.
In accordance with Article 4 of the Technology Development Zones Law No. 4691, establishment application files were prepared and sent to the General Directorate of Industrial Research and Development of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Our application was approved and Trabzon Technology Development Zone (TTGB) was determined by the Decision of the Council of Ministers dated 22 March 2004 and numbered 2004 / 7127, and entered into force by being published in the Official Gazette dated 30 April 2004 and numbered 25448. TTGB Executive Joint Stock Company, organized "to be responsible for the management and operation of the region", was established with the approval of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and was registered at the Trabzon Trade Registry Office on 10.08.2004 with registration number 13384. It was announced in the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette dated 18.08.2004 and numbered 6117.
Today, Trabzon Teknokent has taken important steps towards realizing university-industry cooperation. In this way, it has undertaken an important mission in accelerating the structuring of technology and industry-oriented projects in universities, as well as contributing to increasing the competitive advantage of companies by improving their innovation culture and ability to produce technology.
In this context, we continue our efforts to make Trabzon Teknokent a center of attraction for the region by making competence in science, technology and innovation an accessible goal for Turkey and our region.
